At Hometown Thrift & Gift, we believe that what we do may evolve over time — but who we are never changes. What we are reflects our actions, roles, and day-to-day efforts in the community. Who we are speaks to our values, character, and the heart behind everything we do. That foundation remains constant and continues to shape our purpose.
We are a community-focused thrift store and gift shop dedicated to giving back as much as we can. Our mission is simple: offer quality, affordable items while supporting and uplifting the Belleville community.
The original store opened in 2022 in the Belleville Square Plaza on Belleville Rd. As the shop grew, it relocated in November 2024 to its current home in Downtown Belleville. In June 2025, ownership changed hands — along with the store’s name — but the values, community involvement, and spirit of the shop remains the same.
In addition to our curated thrifted merchandise, we proudly feature a diverse collection of goods from local artisans and crafters, giving small creators a space to share their work with the community.
At Hometown Thrift & Gift, we’re more than a store — we’re a place where neighbors connect, treasures are discovered, and everyone is welcome.

1. Any person who is in need of clothing — we will gift items as we are able, including outerwear, pants, shirts, shoes, undergarments, scarves, hats, and gloves.
2. The Buster Foundation, Friends of Michigan Animal Rescue, Michigan Humane Society.
3. Local crafters/artisans:
Paracord on the Lake • Livs’ Laserworks • Noel’s Novelties • Good Vibes Crafts by Penny • Willy Lynn’s Creations • Evol T-Shirt Company • K&L Custom Wood and Laser Design
Everyone Welcome. Everyone Valued.
At Hometown Thrift & Gift, we believe a store should be a safe, inclusive space for every person who walks through the door.
We are committed to:
- Treating all guests with respect and kindness
- Ensuring accessible, welcoming shopping experiences
- Supporting a diverse community of customers and donors
- Encouraging fair pricing that supports all income levels
- Celebrating the uniqueness of every individual
Because here… the real value is YOU.

Yes, we most certainly do. We ask that donations are clean, not in need of repair, and meet all safety guidelines that may be in place for those items.
We ask that donations are delivered to us during normal business hours of 10am - 5pm whenever possible.
*Important* if you need to drop it off after hours, you may do so at the rear door, this is how we get into the building and the door opens toward you...in addition, if there is staff working after hours and there is an unforeseen emergency and we need to exit that door and it is blocked, a catastrophe can happen.
Yes. We don't accept children's clothing, car seats, strollers, play pens, or pillows/bedding of any kinds. We also don't accept paints, solvents, or any chemicals.
Unfortunately we don't have the manpower or means of transport to accomplish this. HOWEVER, if you need to drop it off after hours, you may do so at the rear door, this is how we get into the building and the door opens toward you...in addition, if there is staff working after hours and there is an unforeseen emergency and we need to exit that door and it is blocked, a catastrophe can happen.
